‘Southern Region Rainy Season’ 7th KBO League, ‘Daejeon+Changwon+Busan’ Rain Cancellation→Already 42 games delayed

Three of the five KBO League games on Sunday were canceled due to rain in the southern region.

Three games of the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League scheduled to take place on July 7 were canceled due to rain. The LG Twins and Lotte Giants were scheduled to play at Sajik Stadium in Busan, the Samsung Lions and NC Dinos at Changwon NC Park, and the SSG Landers and Hanwha Eagles at Hanwha Life Eagles Park in Daejeon.

However, all three games were eventually canceled due to heavy rain in the southern region.

The KBO first decided to cancel the rainout of the 10th game of the season between Lotte and LG, which was scheduled to take place on July 7 at Sajik Baseball Stadium in Busan. With Park Se-woong for Lotte and Adam Plutko for LG, the game was expected to be a battle of aces, but the skies didn’t cooperate.

It had been raining heavily in the Busan area since the morning. The rain didn’t let up in the afternoon, and more and more rain clouds rolled into Sajik Baseball Stadium. The KBO match supervisor dispatched to the site quickly decided to cancel the game at 3:50 p.m., considering the ground conditions and weather forecast, and notified both teams.

Around the same time, the Samsung-NC game was canceled, and the SSG-Hanwha game, which was scheduled to take place at Daejeon Stadium, was postponed.

With six teams getting a day off, Sajik and Daejeon were able to keep the same lineup of LG’s Adam Plutko, Lotte’s Park Se-woong, SSG’s Roenis Elias, and Hanwha’s Ricardo Sanchez, who were scheduled to start today.

Changwon has a different matchup. The Samsung Lions are sticking with their starter David Buchanan, while NC switched from Song Myung-ki to Shin Min-hyuk.

This brings the total number of games canceled due to rain or dust this season to 42, meaning that Monday games or doubleheaders will be inevitable in the second half of the season.안전놀이터

However, the Kiwoom-Dusan match in Jamsil, Seoul, and the KIA-KT match in Suwon, Korea, will be held as normal as both stadiums are free of rain.
