Eddie Rosario, 32, of the Atlanta Braves, has exploded after spending all season chipping away at the average of one of the best offenses in baseball.안전놀이터

Rosario was named the National League’s Player of the Week, Major League Baseball announced on Wednesday. It’s the first honor of his career.

Over the past week, Rosario has been on fire, batting .524 with three home runs, 10 RBIs, six doubles, 11 runs scored, a .583 OPS and a 1.631 slugging percentage in six games.

Most notably, Rosario had multi-hit games against the New York Yankees on April 15 and the San Francisco Giants on April 20, including a home run and a double. Three and four hits, respectively.

It was reminiscent of his performance in the National League Championship Series (NLCS) against the Los Angeles Dodgers two years ago when Atlanta won the World Series.

Back then, Rosario was named the NLCS Most Valuable Player (MVP) after batting .560 with three home runs, nine doubles, six RBIs, 14 runs scored, a .607 slugging percentage and a 1.647 OPS.

His season numbers also improved. Through the last 21 games of the season, Rosario is batting .260 with 19 home runs, 61 RBIs, a .310 OPS and a .789 slugging percentage in 110 games.

Of course, these numbers fall short of his Atlanta teammates, who have been at their best this season. His batting accuracy needs to improve a bit more.

However, Rosario posted a 0.499 OPS in July and has improved significantly to 0.975 this month. That’s a huge boost for Atlanta.
