Fresh from winning the second men’s golf major of the year, the United States Professional Golf Association (PGA) Championship, Brooks Koepka (USA) is off to a mid-table start at the seventh edition of the LIV.
Koepka carded two birdies and two bogeys for an even-par 72 and is tied for 28th place after the first round of the seventh event of the LIV Golf League’s 2023 season ($25 million purse) at Trump National Golf Club (par-72) in Sterling, Virginia, USA, on 27 July.먹튀검증
Earlier, Koepka finished atop the leaderboard at the PGA Championship, which concluded on 22nd, with a final total of nine-under-par 271, ahead of Scott Schauffler (USA) and Victor Hovland (NOR) on seven-under-par.
Koepka became the first Reebok Golf player to win a major championship.
It was also his third career PGA Championship title and ninth on the PGA Tour. He also became the 20th player in history to win five majors.
Koepka, who has two career wins at Reeve Golf, looked a little breathless on the day as he shot an even par.
At the top of the leaderboard was Harold Varner III (USA), who shot eight under par and will be looking for his first career victory on Live Golf.
He was followed by James Piotte (USA) in second place at six under par.
Kevin Na (USA) and Cameron Smith (AUS) are tied for third (4-under 68), while Danny Lee (NZL), Dustin Johnson and Patrick Reed (USA) are tied for seventh (3-under 69) after the first round.
