Man Utd’s rebuild begins…’No. 1′ Mount personal agreement finalized → transfer fee difference a stumbling block

Manchester United and Mason Mount have reached an agreement. The key issue is the transfer fee between the two clubs.

Mount is expected to leave Chelsea at the end of the season. Mount is contracted to Chelsea until 2024, but has yet to sign a new deal. According to the Telegraph, Chelsea have been trying to sign him since last summer. However, Mount was not convinced and did not sign a new contract due to his current underperformance at Chelsea.스포츠토토

Mount himself has also hinted at leaving Chelsea. After the final English Premier League (EPL) match, Mount wandered around an empty Chelsea stadium. The footage was shared on social media, with some saying it was a sure sign of his departure.

The Telegraph reports that “Van Gaal sees Mount as one of his two main signings of the summer and will deploy him in the No.8 role,” with a specific plan to utilize him.

United have even set a specific price tag. The Telegraph’s Jason Burton reported on April 4 (KST) that “United will offer £50 million for Mount.” By naming a specific figure, United are looking to make a move for Mount.

Chelsea, however, are not satisfied. European soccer transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano revealed what the Blues are looking for. According to Romano, the Blues want €80 million for Mount.

United, meanwhile, are quite serious about Mount. While there is still a monetary gap with Chelsea, United is ready to make a formal offer soon. According to British outlet Sky Sports, “United are set to make a formal bid for Mount. At the moment, Mount and United appear to have reached a personal agreement. However, there is a difference in the transfer fee between the two clubs.” While the agreement between United and Mount is finalized, the agreement between United and Chelsea is not. However, United have shown a willingness to continue negotiations.
