K-League 2 Cheonan City FC signs wingback Shin Won-ho and Kim Joo-hwan

Cheonan City FC, which is joining the K-League 2 this year, recruited defenders Shin Won-ho and Kim Joo-hwan.

Cheonan City FC, led by coach Park Nam-yeol, announced the signing of defenders Shin Won-ho and Kim Joo-hwan through official SNS on the 7th.

The two players are promising from the youth national team, and as they are promising players who have steadily accumulated experience in the professional stage, they are expected to play an active part in Cheonan.

Kim Joo-hwan, a native of Pohang Jecheol High School, has steadily increased his presence through various teams despite his young age of 21. He went directly to Pohang Steelers with Pohang’s first pick.

Kim Joo-hwan, who turned from an attacker to a defender during the youth national team, was evaluated as a defender with quick feet and dribbling breakthrough ability.

Even in the process of spending his rental life in Gyeongnam and Anyang, he showed performance worthy of evaluation.

Shin Won-ho, who played in the under-18 (U-18) youth national team, was recognized for his talent at an early age and joined Japan’s J-League Gamba Osaka right after graduating from high school.

He ended up living on the same team as his team seniors Oh Jae-seok and Kim Young-kwon. He didn’t get many opportunities to play in Japan, but he played hard whenever he got a chance. 안전놀이터

In addition to his active defense, Shin Won-ho, whose strengths are fast feet and overlapping, was evaluated as a versatile player in both offense and defense. He can play as a wing-forward as well as a wing-back. Having experienced rental life at K League 1 Suwon Samsung last year, he moved to Cheonan ahead of this 2023 season and prepared for his new start.

Regarding the recruitment of the two players, the Cheonan club expressed their anticipation, saying, “With the addition of left wingback Shin Won-ho and right wingback Kim Joo-hwan, coach Park Nam-yeol’s season plan will be implemented in a more stable manner.”
