Women’s tennis one-two punch Jang Sujeong (Daegu City Hall, 144th place) and Han Na-rae (Bucheon City Hall, 155th place) will compete in the Australian Open preliminary round on the 10th. 

Sujeong Jang made it through last year’s qualifiers and made it to the main draw, while Narae Han took the final stage by winning the 2020 Asia Pacific Wild Card Finals.  

Sujeong Jang meets veteran Sara Erani (Italy, 108th) in the first round of the preliminary round. Erani is a player who rose to 5th in the singles world rankings in 2013 and won the French Open runner-up in 2012. Sujeong Jang met Errani in the first round of her last Australian Open qualifier and defeated her 6-4 6-4 to win.  안전놀이터

Hannarae’s first round opponent was Victoria Kuzmova (Slovakia, No. 122), and just before she reached the quarterfinals in the WTA 250 Tour ASB Classic.  

Jang Su-jeong and Han Na-rae had a bad first game at the start of the 2023 season. Both players lost in the first round of the Canberra International (W60) in Australia on the ITF World Tennis Tour. 

The first Grand Slam of the season, the Australian Open, will be held from the 16th to the 29th.
