‘Genius + Genius’ No meeting between teachers and students…’Possibility of Lee Kang-in joining ↑’ PSG-‘Young Master’ Nagelsmann and Negotiations Breakdown

‘Young master’ Julian Nagelsmann (36) will not be taking over at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). The chances of a ‘priestly’ meeting with Lee Kang-in (22, Mallorca) have also diminished.

International transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano posted on his social media accounts on Sunday (July 17), “Nagelsmann will not become PSG coach. The two sides have not reached an agreement. Negotiations have failed.”

According to him, PSG are already in contact with other managers.

Nagelsmann, who has turned down offers from Tottenham, Chelsea, and Real Madrid, has been in deep talks with PSG in recent days. A deal was being fast-tracked.스포츠토토

However, nothing is set in stone until the final signings are made. PSG is looking for a new coach again.

PSG is looking to change coaches after just one season.

The club has handed the reins to Christophe Galtier, 57, for the 2022-2023 season. After eight years at the helm of French Ligue 1 side Saint-Etienne from 2009, Galtier has been in charge of Lille since 2017 and has enjoyed a steep rise to success. They won the Ligue 1 title in the 2020-2021 season over PSG. The calls started pouring in, and he took over at Nice in 2021 and PSG in 2022.

But surviving at the ‘big club’ wasn’t easy. With Lionel Messi no longer at PSG next season, and superstars like Kylian Mbappe and Neymar being lured away this season, it looks like he’ll eventually hang up his boots.

The results are not good enough. The club barely won the title, finishing just one point behind Reims. In the UEFA Champions League (UCL), they were knocked out in the round of 16. As a result, PSG is looking for a “mastermind” to turn things around.

On PSG’s radar was Nagelsmann, born in 1987 and considered one of European soccer’s up-and-coming talents. He took the Bayern Munich job after stints at Hoffenheim and Leipzig, but was sacked in March due to poor results.

In the 2019-2020 season, Nagelsmann led Leipzig to the top four of the UCL after 11 years in charge, earning him the label of “genius manager.

With Nagelsmann’s chances of joining PSG significantly diminished, a meeting with the ‘midfield genius’ is unlikely.

Matteo Moretto, a journalist familiar with the Spanish soccer transfer market, recently said, “There is a 99.9% chance that Lee Kang-in will move to PSG.”

Several local media outlets have also reported that Lee’s move to PSG is imminent. He has reportedly already completed his medical. It’s not a done deal yet. The final details are reportedly being finalized.

“Lee Kang-in’s transfer to PSG has progressed, but it is not finalized,” said Spanish media outlet Marca on Friday, adding that “several tasks remain.”

Another Spanish outlet, OK Diario, reported on the 16th that there is no agreement between Mallorca and PSG on Lee and that it is unlikely to be resolved anytime soon.

According to ‘OK Diario’, Mallorca want to include a player in the deal instead of sending Lee. Mallorca’s conditions are that the player must be a young prospect, not just a player, and that PSG must pay his weekly wages on loan.

Lee has been a transfer hot potato this season with six goals and six assists in 36 Spanish La Liga games, and has been strongly pursued by fellow Spanish club Atletico Madrid. The negotiating table was set. However, the two clubs were unable to agree on a financial deal.

PSG took advantage of this and quickly swooped in with a deal that sent his stock soaring. Negotiations took place behind closed doors.
