Kim became the first player in LPBA history to reach 10 finals.

Second on the list is Sreng Piavi (Cambodia-Blue One Resort) with eight.

Currently tied with Lim Jung-sook (SK Rent-a-Car) for the most LPBA wins with five, Kim has a chance to go one better.

A sixth victory would tie her with “Billiard Emperor” Frederique Koudron (Belgium-Wellcome Savings Bank) for the most wins in both the PBA and LPBA.

Immediately after the semifinals, Kim said, “I’m happy. I’m always nervous about the opening tournament of the season because it’s the first time I get to showcase what I’ve been working on in the offseason. I’m looking forward to reaching the finals after all the twists and turns.”

In the other semifinal match, Kim Min-ah defeated Oh Soo-jung with a set score of 3-2 to set up a battle with Kim Ga-young for the title.

This LPBA meeting between Kim and Kim comes two years after their semifinal match at the Blue One Resort Championship in the opening round of the 2021-2022 season.

Back then, Kim defeated Kim Min-ah to punch her ticket to the final.

Kim and Kim will face off in the finals at 9:30 p.m. on Nov. 18 for the $30 million first prize.
